Welcome to CareerHub

CareerHub is a web-based administration system that provides an electronic communication hub between students, employers and the Careers & Employment Service staff.

To use the system you must first be registered. If you are not currently registered you can submit your application now by clicking on the 'register' button. If you are already registered or have been provided with a username/password combination by the Career Development Centre then you will have to login to access all the features.

If you are submitting your registration now, then you must wait until the Career Development Centre staff have approved your application before you can access all the features (you will be notified by email.)

What does CareerHub provide?

When you are registered as an employer on CareerHub you will be able to:
  • maintain your contact details and set your company into appropriate employment categories
  • add a list of contact people within your company, and specify what 'Service' (eg: Graduate Employment, Vacation Employment) they should be the primary contact
  • add vacancies directly to the CareerHub system for students to search
  • edit and close the vacancies you have listed
  • view a history of all the previous vacancies you have listed on CareerHub
  • add events you are running to CareerHub for students to search (employment related only)

All items you add to CareerHub will be subject to approval by the Career Development Centre.


Employer Services:

In addition to advertising vacancies & events on CareerHub, the Career Development Centre offers a number of other services to employers such as email-outs and employer presentations on campus. For full details of services, please go to http://www.mq.edu.au/careers/employers/employers_home.php

Registration for CareerHub is FREE.

All casual, part-time, vacation/internship & volunteer jobs are advertised FREE.
Full time and/or graduate jobs are advertised at $77 (GST incl) per position.
Events (not organised by the Career Development Centre) are advertised at $100 (GST incl) per event until the Event Date.


Jobs - Remuneration Field:

Please note that a numeric figure must be entered for ALL jobs in the remuneration field. If you are unsure of the exact amount please put a range eg. $35,000-$40,000 or $12-16ph. A minimum hourly rate of $12 is required for part-time/casual jobs to be approved. Volunteer and Non-profit organisations are the only exception.

  • Web Designers
    We need a team of volunteers to design and setup a new website for The
    Australian Refugee Film Festival. These volunteers will also be in charge
    of using facilities such as youtube, facebook and twitter to promote the
    organisation.
  • Graphic Designers
    Volunteers required to assist in:

    Design organisation logos
    Design promotional materials
    Assist in design of website
    Design layout of film festival DVD

    This team will be in charge of all promotional materials for the Australian Refugee Film Festival 2010.
  • Grant Writers
    Volunteers required to write grants to fund projects such as the film
    festival & film workshops. Training will be provided. This team will be in
    charge of fundraising up to $30,000 in the next 12 months.
  • DVD/Audio/Video/Sound Volunteers
    Volunteers required to put together a DVD of The Australian Refugee Film
    Festival 2009, a best of DVD and a promotional DVD. This team will also be
    in charge of the sound and video setup of the 2010 festival.
  • 2009 - 2010 Summer Vacation Scholarship Program
